Private Event: Fireside Puppets is being rescheduled!

Hello dear puppet friends of Jana, Josh, Julia and Koa!

Please check back for the rescheduled date for this performance!

I’ll be performing the story of Shingebis, a wise little duck who Old Man Winter can’t beat.

Fireside Gate opens at 4pm, show at 4:30, supper immediately following the show.

We’ll roast sausages over the fire, and I’ll make a baked bean casserole, salad, and cornbread with pasture butter. Please bring the type of sausage your family prefers for roasting, as well as buns if you want them. I’ll provide condiments like ketchup, mustard, etc.

Puppets in the Garden

The puppet show this week is a Grimm’s tale. The Three Billy Goats Gruff encounter an obstacle on their way up the mountain, and they each find their way around it to get to the summertime meadow.

The freshly prepared, organic supper this week is white bean soup with dry farm tomatoes, mixed green and arugula salad with vinaigrette, bread from Companion Bakeshop and pasture butter.

Puppets in the Garden

The puppet show this week is the Grimm’s fairy tale, Little Red Cap, or Little Red Riding Hood, as it’s more commonly known. Little Red Cap gets distracted from the task her mother gave her with an unpleasant consequence. Attentiveness and kind willingness from a passerby saves the day.

The freshly prepared, organic supper this week is beef barley soup, simple green salad with vinaigrette, bread from Companion Bakeshop and pasture butter.

This week I'll be performing an adaptation of the tale of the industrious little red hen, who discovers a way to get some help from her friends while enjoying the fruits of her labors.

Puppets and Supper, Sunday June 17 5:30pm

This is the first show of my summer puppetry performances! I will be doing a Grimm’s fairytale series at the Playgarden this year. This month I will be performing Rapunzel. July I’ll be doing Little Red Cap, also known as Little Red Riding Hood, August will be Hansel and Gretel, and Labor Day weekend I’ll be doing Snow White and Rose Red.

These classic tales are so strengthening for our spirits, whether we are young or old, as they deal with events of the world of all kinds, and suggest how we can manage fate, chance and choice in admirable and effective ways.

 

Rapunzel lives out the consequences of choices not in her control until she finally gets a chance to make some choices of her own to change her fate.

 

The fresh, organic soup supper this time is split pea soup, kale salad, bread from Companion Bakeshop and pasture butter.

Neighborhood Playgarden May Fair 10am-3pm

Join me in Half Moon Bay for an encore performance of the Grimm's tale "Rapunzel!"

Neighborhood Playgarden's annual May Fair runs from 10am-3pm. May pole dancing, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, make a May crown, children's activities, Waldorf puppet show, tractor rides, hay rides around the farm, the Bubble Guy, live music all day. Bring your own picnic lunch or buy from the food trucks.
